Beverly Hills Christian Science Church

What is Christian Science?  

Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded Christian Science, defined it as "the law of God, the law of good..." (Rudimental Divine Science). This deeper understanding of God as infinite Love and unchanging goodness leads to prayer that can heal, redeem and restore anyone.

A Ministry of Spiritual Healing

The Church of Christ, Scientist, is a Christian denomination. The Bible and especially Jesus’ teachings are at the heart and soul of its practice. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy states: “Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing.” This is the continuing mission of the Church of Christ, Scientist.

Science and Health Display

Mary Baker Eddy published Science and Health in 1875. She then spent 35 years revising her book. The display we put up is a short history of her re-writing process and was set up in the Beverly Hills Church. It came down at the end of December.

Sunday Service (audio only) Lesson on Mind

In the midst of a tropical storm, we conducted our Sunday service in the church. We allowed our musicians to record their music and send it in, but the readers came to the church. In the middle of the solo we lost power and our connection to Zoom. Here is the service starting with the solo. The "static" you hear in the background is the rain!

A talk given on Dec. 21, 2023 when Fujiko Takai Signs, a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, was streamed live from Tokyo into our church auditorium
